Salary: £32337 to £43695 (pro rata) - dependent on location

Job Location: Bromley or Norwich

Hours: 36 hours

Contract Type: 1x 3 month Fixed Term Contract

2x 6 months Fixed Term Contract

1x 9 months Fixed Term Contract

1x 12 months Fixed Term Contract

We are currently recruiting for a variety of Fixed Term contracts within IT. The purpose of these roles is to take responsibility for the operational support of the Application estate, and to provide both 2nd and 3rd line support to the customer and technical support teams (Technology Team and 3rd Parties).

About the role

Some of the role's responsibilities are listed below;-

  • Ensuring provision of management, administration and 2nd line application support of the application estate
  • Responding to and resolving Incidents and Service Requests in-line with agreed SLAs/OLAs
  • Ensuring that all assigned cases on the ITSM system are maintained up to date with progress and resolution details that are meaningful and accurate
  • Working with Business Support, Technical support, 3rd parties, and customers to provide a seamless service
  • Assist in acceptance testing of vendor-delivered / team produced changes and updates and liaise with upstream/downstream applications providers
  • Contribution to proactive Event, Problem, Change, and Configuration management
  • Working within the existing team to successfully deliver lifecycle activity and changes as appropriate
  • Proactive identification of risks, and contribution towards the risk/audit management process
  • Management of all applications, associated incidents and requests within the teams remit

About you

We would like previous experience in using either Orchard, Promaster, Kirona DRS, Civica Mobile, Qube, Pamwin & Servitor. We are also looking for the following skills and experience;-

  • Demonstrable experience of providing 2nd line application support - responding to and resolving Incidents and Service Requests in line with agreed SLAs/OLAs
  • Demonstrable technical application administration experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly to an audience of varying seniority and technical expertise
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an ITIL environment
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering lifecycle and technical projects
  • Contribution to service management process improvement and advocacy
  • Wider IT knowledge relating to SQL Server Admin/Scripting, Infrastructure or IIS would be an advantage
  • A sound approach to problem solving and supplier engagement and management
