We are looking for a Community Warden to join our Housing Services team on a permanent full time basis.

As Community Warden, you will be patch based and work to identify areas that that require attention, including areas with dumped rubbish, property repairs, abandoned vehicles, unsafe structures (e.g. pathways, play areas) overgrown planting and to arrange for an effective remedy to reduce any risk and resolve the issue.

What you'll be doing

You will be providing a local responsive service to tenants ensuring estates are free from litter, graffiti and are well kept. You'll be supporting the Neighbourhood Teams ensuring new tenants are settled in, tenancy conditions are met, responding to urgent situations and reporting on repair needs. You'll carry out through regular inspections and liaise with estate contractors, residents and teams ensure that estates and communal areas are maintained to the highest standard.

You will note any incidences of nuisance or anti-social behaviour in the area. This may necessitate engaging with the victims or the perpetrators, conducting investigations, interviewing victims, witnesses and perpetrators in accordance with current ASB procedures and best practice to effectively resolve the issue and acting as witness to ASB where necessary.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone with experience of customer service in a Housing environment who has excellent communication skills and the ability to plan their own workload. You will have the proven ability to engage with service users and experience in negotiation and resolving conflict along with good IT skills.

You will need to have a positive approach, good problem solving skills and be able to work on your own initiative putting our residents at the heart of our service delivery.
