Housing Options Manager

As a Team Manager within the housing service you will be ensuring the Council meets its statutory duties whilst providing a person-centred approach to services. Find your greatness as you design and implement services that help people keep or find a home.
We are looking for an experienced manager with a strong working knowledge of housing options legislation and practice, and the ability to interpret legislation into understandable guidelines. As part of Housing Solutions, you will change many lives for the better by building strong relationships with colleagues, public bodies and our housing partners, to prevent homelessness, or to find solutions to relieve a customer’s homelessness. With the recent introduction of the Homelessness Reduction Act and the governments Rough Sleeping Strategy we need someone who can contribute to innovative and creative policies, strategies and processes.
We are looking for someone who has a degree or an equivalent qualification or in-depth experience of homelessness, managing a housing service, implementing innovative team plans and successful delivery of programmes and services. Are you a strong leader with the skills and the ability to motivate and develop team members? Have you successfully designed and implemented new housing services? Are you experienced in dealing with complex customer situations that require sound assessment skills, teamwork, sensitivity and effective communication.
