Cloud Network Engineer
£ 40,928 - £45,475 per annum
36.25 hours per week.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Network Engineer to join our IT Department in an exciting period for us as we look to change and modernise our technology and move a number of our on premise systems to the cloud.
In this key position you will be responsible for the technical duties associated with cloud and traditional networking (LAN/WAN/WIFI) including design, planning, management, maintenance and support, ensuring that all IT industry standards are met.
We are also in the process of rolling out a Unified Communications platform including moving from our existing Avaya telephony platform and Avaya Aura Contact Centre to Skype for Business and Enghouse Interactive Communications Centre
We are looking for someone who is technically skilled who can be hands on and also be able to support remotely.
We are looking for a range of skills some of which are listed below:
- Designing, configuring, managing and maintaining LAN/WAN products and protocols (preferably Cisco Nexus 3000 & Catalyst 9300 / HP Procurve)
- Lync 2013 / Skype for Business (Enterprise and Standard)
- Fixed/cloud based telephony and Contact Centre technologies, including VOIP, SIP, ISDN30
- Managing/maintaining WIFI infrastructure (preferably Aruba)
- Experience in designing, configuring and maintaining on premise and public cloud (preferably MS Azure) architecture platforms including MPLS, VPN & ExpressRoute products and protocols
- Experience of Network Load Balancing and Firewall technologies (preferably Netscaler, Checkpoint & Fortinet)
- Using Mobile Device Management suites (preferably Airwatch)

A Technical qualification or proven work experience is essential for this role.
