Construction Safety Manager
We are looking for a determined and personable professional to develop, implement, and promote a safety strategy and culture with our Service Managers, Contractors, Staff, and Tenants.
Bristol City Council owns and manages 27,000 Council Homes, more than half of which are in its 60 high rise, and 450 low rise blocks of flats. More than 95% of our homes meet the decent homes standard, and we deliver development, investment, maintenance and repairs programmes, via our 350 strong internal workforce, and range of contractors.
You should be educated to degree level in a relevant safety or construction field, and have significant skills, knowledge and experience to confidently deliver Safety Management at a senior level. Leading the development and implementation of the Construction Health and Safety Strategy for Homes and Landlord Services, you will promote, develop and implement policies, plans, and procedures, to ensure a culture of safety compliance across the Repairs and Maintenance activities for staff, tenants, and contractors; leading a team of safety professionals, and creating a constructive working relationship with the Asset Manager, operational Managers, and Stakeholders.
