Ability owns and manages 700 properties dispersed across London and the South East from Hastings to Bournemouth, Essex to Oxfordshire. The majority of our homes are managed as supported housing for customers with physical or learning disabilities or mental health problems. Most are self-contained flats or bungalows in small developments and many are built to wheelchair standards. They include a number of blocks / schemes with on-site Care and Support staff and also individual flats and houses dispersed across our stock.

This is an exciting time to join Ability. This year we have been changing the way we provide our housing and property management services and we are now looking for additional staff to join our existing friendly team.

The Lettings and Project Officer is a new role, to work alongside the Housing & Support Officers and Ability’s Revenue & Arrears Officer.  The post will be responsible for the co-ordination of our nominations and lettings services: we work with over 30 local authorities and other agencies with nomination rights to the properties we manage. You will be building close working relationships with many internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that Ability homes are let to those who need them most.  As well as this, you will be providing project management support for the housing and property management team as we continue to improve the services we provide.  This will include assisting with the development of procedures and coordinating how service improvements are implemented across our stock.
