We are growing our Commercial and Technical division across the UK to become one of the country's top 5 builders in the next 3 years, and are offering new and exciting opportunities for Technical Coordinators looking to make their mark.
As Technical Coordinator, you will manage the design and regulatory approval process for residential housing developments, from conception through to completion of build. Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, you'll assist the Cost Management Team in preparing projects appraisals with a view to acquiring land.
Liaising with in-house departments, external stake holders and clients, you'll ensure that designs are fully coordinated and that designs produced comply with both internal company policy requirements and all necessary regulatory approvals.
We'll look to you to coordinate suppliers' design and product information, as well as undertaking value engineering assessments and ensuring buildability. You'll manage the delivery of surveys and reports and the detailed design process including infrastructure, substructure, house types, landscaping, conveyance plans and any associated legal agreements.
You'll act as Principle Technical Coordinator for projects, monitoring and reporting technical and development fees, as well as providing all Health and Safety Information.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
- Proven experience in a Technical/Design Coordinator position within a commercial contracting or developing environment.
- Ideally a HNC or CIAT equivalent construction qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in managing the development process.
- Excellent communication skills & the ability to analyse problems and deliver solutions.
