The Housing Options service at Barnet Homes works on the frontline of homelessness in Barnet, providing housing and homelessness advice to those in need in one of the most popular places to live in London.
It is an exciting time to join the Housing Options Service. The new Homeless Reduction Act will bring significant changes requiring councils to help everyone who is threatened with homelessness, with the focus on early intervention and prevention.
A new role is being created to help focus on how the customer journey is managed so that we can create more capacity for specialist prevention services.
This role will be delivering the new customer ready model for the statutory homelessness service. The Customer Service Officer will perform a diverse range of administrative tasks to get the customer ready for their appointments with more specialist officers.

We are looking for:
*Excellent communicators who will give clear and concise advice to customers *Good listeners who will be empathetic when helping customers facing challenging personal circumstances *Quick learners who will be motivated to take ownership of their workload and think innovatively to find solutions for their customers' needs. *Knowledge of the housing sector is desired but not essential
