Orbit has an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Technical Coordinator to manage tasks and set deadlines for building sites located across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and North Essex. As part of the wider technical team, you will be responsible for procuring and supporting the technical and engineering service, managing any issues by providing necessary information and resolutions. Working alongside consultants, suppliers and manufacturers, you will continuously ensure the preparation of technical support information is provided that aligns with the set programmes and budgets.
This is a truly exciting time to join Orbit as they are currently transforming their Property Investment teams located in the Midlands, Southern and Eastern regions. The regional teams will be responsible for the end to end delivery of all processes from land acquisition and planning consent, development and delivery of new homes through to sales. They have an ambitious programme with the view to deliver excellent customer service, deliver more homes, invest in existing stock and make Orbit a great place to work. To achieve these goals, Orbit has created a new operating model for the Property Investment teams and as a result of this there are a number of excellent job opportunities available.
To be a strong applicant, we are looking for someone who has in-depth experience in house building from a residential background and a good technical knowledge of civil engineering and building construction. You’ll understand the relevant working knowledge of planning and building regulations involved, including NHBC, Highway Authority and Utility design requirements. You’ll possess excellent communication and the relationship management skills necessary to develop and maintain effective partnerships at a senior level internally and externally to the organisation.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has a Construction related qualification.
