This is a critical role for the business where you will be providing effective management of the Regulatory and statutory Compliance responsibilities for Orbit Properties which will see you providing safe homes and workplaces for Orbits customers. Maintaining the business compliancy is a vital part of the role so you must keep up to date with all legislation and guidance. The role covers domestic gas, commercial gas, LPG, renewable energy and Air Conditioning so a wide range of knowledge is required.

As the Property Compliance Manager you will be working closely with the Health and Safety and investment teams, reporting into the Head of Property Compliance and will be responsible for managing a close-knit team of 6 employees and 4 contractors who work across a wide spread area, covering Midlands, East and South of England.

About you

The Ideal person for this role will have experience in a similar position, will have good technical repairs knowledge and must have a sound track record of contract management. A full understanding of compliancy and legislative elements is critical
Some of the Essential requirements for the role are listed below:

  • Educated to HND/degree level in a relevant discipline or relevant professional qualification or able to demonstrate extensive relevant experience and equivalent knowledge
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Experience in developing effective solutions to resolve complex compliance related issues
  • Experience of developing and maintaining compliance related procedures and systems.
  • Experience of managing contractors and developing successful long term working relationships
  • Proven experience of achieving challenging targets and objectives
  • Proven experience of financial and budget control
  • An understanding and ability to undertake and apply risk
