We are a charitable housing association that owns and manages more than 18,000 homes – and developing thousands more – across Yorkshire. We also provide a range of services so that people can live independently. All our profits are reinvested so that we can do even more for our customers. Our ambition is that everyone has the opportunity to live in a quality home they can afford.

We are currently seeking a Apprenticeship Co-ordinator to join our award winning apprenticeship team. The role is based at Dysons Chambers, Leeds on a temporary contract until September 2019 for 21 hours per week.

Delivering apprenticeships is a team effort at Yorkshire Housing, including managers and mentors. So far, 101 apprentices have either completed or are currently working on their apprenticeship with the organisation. The scheme has a cohort of 25 apprentices at any one time, with up to ten positions changing yearly and with many moving into full time roles within Yorkshire Housing on completion. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small, dedicated team to co-ordinate the apprenticeship scheme, including, recruitment, on-going support and mentoring to the apprentices and coordination of the apprentice learning path.

As well as promoting the scheme through events and awards, you will be contributing to delivering a high quality apprenticeship programme, building on our recent successes of winning best apprenticeship category for the Woman in Housing Awards 2018, one of our colleagues being named National Intermediate Apprentice of the Year at the Apprentice Awards 2018, and previously being highly commended in the large employer of the year category at the government-backed National Apprenticeship Awards and named as one of the Top 100 Apprenticeship employers of the year.

We are looking for people who are committed to our company values and can demonstrate this by:

Respect: Building positive relationships with apprentices to support them through the programme and with managers to help mentor apprentices through the scheme.

Reliability: Bringing your experience of working with young people, apprenticeship schemes or within a college, further education or training environment to coordinate the scheme.

Enthusiasm: to promote the scheme internally and externally.

Please note this role will be subject to a basic check with the disclosure and barring service.

The closing date for applications will be Sunday 27 January 2019

Interview date to be confirmed.

Please note CV's will not be accepted.

Please note if you are applying for this role internally you must inform your current line manager.
