We are currently seeking a Neighbourhood Officer to be based at Hope Park, Bradford on a Temporary contract until 30 September 2019 for 35 hours per week.
The main purpose of this role is to take accountability for the delivery of a high quality, customer focused housing management and neighbourhood service providing comprehensive tenancy and estate management services, lettings and allocations against agreed targets.
You will work closely with other colleagues to address local opportunities and challenges achieving relevant neighbourhood standards and objectives, community engagement and performance targets to maximise customer satisfaction. You will continuously work towards improving neighbourhoods in partnership with tenants, residents and other local agencies.
As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will provide information to and support the Income Services team in ensuring proper control over arrears of rent, service charges, supporting people subsidy and the collection of re-chargeable repair monies. You will actively promote and market empty homes in order to undertake the letting of the homes in the designated area within the YH relevant policies and procedures, to ensure rent loss is kept to a minimum. You will also undertake visits to individual tenants on an agreed basis to review the services provided to them by Yorkshire Housing and within their community, reviewing their needs and offering as appropriate any new services.
Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage as would knowledge of the Orchard software. Ability to deliver high quality customer focused housing management service including efficient letting of void property and dealing with anti social behaviour is a key requirement of the post.
We will consider candidates who do not have a CIH qualification, but if successful, they will be offered the salary of £24,250.25. Candidates who have the CIH qualification will be offered the salary of £28,111.39. Both roles come with an additional £2000 car allowance (annually).
The successful candidate will require a DBS check and will have a full, driving license valid for the UK, with access to a vehicle.
