Job Details
An exciting opportunity has come up for a Domestic Assistant to come and make a difference to help improve the physical environment - join our care & support staff based at our sheltered housing scheme for older people.
Duties will include mopping, dusting, vacuuming, toilet cleaning and other general cleaning duties.
Skills/experience required:
-Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
-Knowledge of CoSHH and other relevant Health and Safety regulations
-Ability to order appropriate chemicals and equipment while providing a cost effective service to Peabody
-Experience and understanding of cleaning in a non-domestic environment
-A willingness to learn the use of specialised heavy cleaning machinery and the ability to pass this training on to other members of staff if necessary.
This is a part time role for 8 hours a week and days are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
The successful applicant will need to be subject to an enhanced/basic background check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
