bpha is a major housing association operating between Oxford and Cambridge, based in Bedford. We are a leading provider and developer of affordable homes - for rent, sheltered, residential care and shared ownership. We own around 18,000 homes, employ 350 people, and have an annual turnover of around £100 million.
We are currently seeking a proactive and professional Assistant Land Manager, ideally with current and practical knowledge of housing development/procurement.
Assisting with the tasks involved in the acquisition of new sites you will prepare competitive bids and tenders for new schemes which deliver the growth and asset management strategy. You will gather market and business intelligence information as well as undertaking appraisals for the developments and support the coordination of project teams to carry out due diligence in advance of purchases.
The successful candidate may come with experience of working within a housing association, Local Authority or a property development environment although this is not essential. Preferably educated to a degree level or equivalent, you will need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software. The ability to meet tight deadlines along with good communication skills are essential.
Due to the nature of the role, you must live within proximity of Bedford and hold a full UK driving licence as you will be office based, with some travel and homeworking flexibility.
In return we can offer a competitive salary, car allowance, 28 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, contributory pension, free life assurance, free private medical cover, cycle to work scheme, lifestyle rewards and employee assistance programme.
Closing Date: Monday 25th February 2019
Interview Date: Monday 4th March 2019
