Job Details

We have an amazing opportunity for a Sales Executive to manage all sales activity for our shared ownership new home developments at Kitchener Barracks in Chatham & Hanbury Place, in Chelmsford. This is a fabulous opportunity to join our award winning team (did you know we’re winners of best house at the What House Awards 2018?).  You'll be making a big difference to the lives of our customers moving into their fabulous new home.

You’ll manage the sales activity on site from legal set up through to sales completion. You will manage all leads for your scheme including carrying out viewings, securing reservations and progressing sales through to completion.  You’ll work collaboratively with Home Group solicitors to ensure they have all legal documentation to produce legal packs and progress sales. You’ll be using your sparkly personality and awesome customer service skills to provide a first class service that delights our customers and internal colleagues.

You’ll be reporting to Julian our Sales Manager, working with Sophia and Monika who make up our newly formed South East sales team.  The team are full of new ideas and energised to work together to hit our targets.  Julian really enjoys hearing new ideas brought to the table and knows our sales targets are not met without weekly sales meetings to discuss sales and marketing techniques with a Costa and Pret.  More importantly the team love discussing what's happening on the latest Luther episode!  Costa is perfectly situated a stone’s throw from our Kings Cross office (which is great news), but why does Julian’s coffee either come out way too milky or with too much water each time?

They are super passionate about selling our fabulous range of new homes, so if this is your passion too you’ll really fit in here. You’ll find plenty more about the role in our job description.  To see one of our Development colleagues talk about their job in our short film.

It’s a really exciting time to join Home Group!  We are currently undergoing a significant period of growth and change that will enable us to build more homes, independence and aspirations – the vision that underpins our five-year strategy. Our ambition to build 10,000 new homes, be market leaders in New Models of Care and significantly increase our digital capability is in the hands of our brilliant people.

A bit about you

With a passion for new home sales and achieving sales targets, you’ll have a background in a commercial property sales environment including knowledge of affordable tenure products and outright sale. You’ll understand the financial requirements to buy, including mortgage processes and financial assessments. You’ll be self-motivated, an energised team member with excellent organisational skills. If you’re brilliant at building relationships with your customers which lead to a deal ‘close’, then this is the cherry in the cake (or should we say the sold sign on the door!).

We’ll sometimes need you to travel around the region to our different sites so ideally you’ll have a driving licence and access to a car which we will pay you business mileage for travel.
