Hightown is a charitable housing association transforming thousands of lives every year. We do this by building hundreds of much needed new homes and providing care and supported housing services for a wide range of people. We currently manage over 6,000 homes and employ over 1,000 full and part time staff from our head office in Hemel Hempstead. We have an annual turnover of £80 million and a development programme that will deliver around 400 new affordable homes each year.

Once our houses are built, they are let to people who cannot afford to buy or rent at full market values. The majority of our properties are offered to people on local authority housing lists to rent. We also manage homes to let at intermediate rents, for people saving for a deposit, and shared ownership homes, which help people make their first step on the housing ladder.

About the Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales and Lettings Advisor to join our Property and Commercial team based at our Hemel Hempstead head office covering our homes in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

As a Senior Sales and Lettings Advisor, you will :-

  • Be responsible for servicing all incoming enquiries, viewings and progressing all new build sales//intermediate rental promptly and efficiently from reservation to completion.
  • The first point of contact coordinating all shared ownership/rent to Homebuy/intermediate rent enquiries

  • Liaise with the local homebuy agent and local authorities on nominations, providing feedback and building on relationships

  • Manage progression from reservation through to completion within set timescales.

  • Prepare weekly reports on sales and marketing activities.

We are looking for individuals who are able to demonstrate the following:-

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role either gained within estate agency, new homes or housing association or demonstrable experience in a sales environment

  • Knowledge of local housing markets (Herts, Beds & Bucks) is desirable

  • Knowledge of the shared ownership process is desirable

  • An understanding of the legal process of property sales

  • Sales oriented, team player, personable individual

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Computer literate

  • Flexibility - with this role you will be required to attend occasional weekend and evening events.
