Metropolitan Thames Valley are going through an exciting time of growth in Derbyshire and subsequently we are seeking a Care & Support Team Leader for our new service in Derby. If you seeking an opportunity to develop your career within care and support at Metropolitan Tames Valley and can demonstrate a track record of providing excellent service to your customers then we would be interested in receiving your application.

As this is a new service and will be a whole new team to Metropolitan Thames Valley previous experience of supporting customers with Learning Disabilities is essential. You will be supporting the manager in leading the team effectively to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and business requirements. While also delivering excellent, personalised services to customers. In addition effectively supporting staff on a day to day basis, looking at service budgets and other resources to ensure commercial viability and strengthen Metropolitan`s market position.

Key responsibilities will include , but are not limited to:

-Support the development and remodelling of services, raising the profile of care and support services and the Metropolitan offer to customers
-Providing full care to customers in a dignified manner and leading by example to ensure other staff members are also providing this level of care
-Develop, deliver and report on team plans for your service area to evidence high quality service delivery.
-Ensure the Metropolitan vision and culture are embedded within core areas of responsibility and promoted to enhance Metropolitan`s reputation in the market place.
-Ensure customer and staff engagement in the development and implementation of business processes to ensure they meet changing requirements
-Ensure that services provided are lead by example, adhering to business standards, policies, processes and procedures
-Contribute to service development projects, implement and embed change, using clear communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution.

To be successful in this post please ensure your CV or supporting statement demonstrates -

1)Sound knowledge of the needs and issues facing customers with learning disabilities.
2)Experience of dealing with challenging customers with server learning disabilities.
3)IT Literacy.
4)Experience of producing Care and/or Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
5)The ability to motivate and coach team members
