Riverside have an excellent opportunity for a permanent Compliance Manager (Commercial Gas, Non-Gas Heating, Ventilation and Water Systems) working 35 hours per week based in Liverpool or Carlisle. This role is eligible for flexi-time working.

What will you do day-today?

Manage the approach to Commercial Gas, Non-Gas Heating, Ventilation and Water Systems, leading, managing and motivating the Compliance Officers to ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, including the development and implementation of an effective risk management approach to compliance within the Group. Develop and implement operational objectives underpin the Compliance Strategy and Framework and the Group’s overall strategic objectives.  Act as the Group’s lead advisor for Commercial Gas, Non-Gas Heating, Ventilation and Water Systems across all services. Develop, implement, and monitor the operational effectiveness of the Compliance Management model and Heating, Ventilation and Water Systems policies, procedures and guidance. Develop, implement and manage an effective and timely programme of Commercial Gas, Non-Gas Heating, Ventilation and Water Systems inspections, repairs and risk mitigation activity. Support the Senior Compliance Manager, investigate incidents, accidents, complaints and compliance contracts.  Manage stakeholders effectively confident in influencing, negotiating and building constructive working relationships to effectively deliver the Group’s Compliance Strategy. Develop and review budgets ensuring expenditure is robustly managed in line with the Group’s financial controls.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to engage suitably experienced individuals with who have in depth knowledge of Commercial Gas, Non-Gas Heating, Ventilation and Water Systems within Social Housing, including government and industry guidance, British standards, building regulations and the building regulations and the Gas safety installation and use regulations. Relevant Legionella Awareness qualification, Level 4 Gas Safety Management in Social Housing or facilities management, or equivalent. As a Commercial Gas, Non-Gas Heating installations and Ventilation and Water Systems manager you should be able to demonstrate that you have experience in leading and managing a team. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills with a track record of building strong working relationships. Proven track record of managing and delivering effective servicing and maintenance contracts to a large and diverse portfolio of mix tenure properties, being able to, manage contracts, budgets and have a clear understanding of risk management and compliance.
