SALARY: £48,450 to £57,000 (More London)
£43,600 to £51,300 (Norwich)
We're looking for an exceptional Commercial Manager to support the Group Procurement and Commercial Management Team in the delivery of its commercial activities. This role can be based in either our London or Norwich offices.
Working closely with the Major Projects & Strategic Commercial Lead and colleagues across the Group Procurement and Commercial Management function, you'll act as a business partner to develop 5 year commercial strategies focused on optimum value for money delivery. We'll look to you to investigate key areas of spend to identify savings or value opportunities and develop strategies to "get" the money and keep it.
You'll need to have a pro-active approach to commercial services and work with the business to ensure value for money is at the heart of every contract let. We'll expect you to deliver contract reporting and spend leakage reports, and develop innovative tools for the procurement tool kit.
Other responsibilities include:
- Leading on specific department commercial activity programmes boards set up and manage the overall delivery for the programmes.
- Assisting the Major Projects & Strategic Commercial Management Lead in strategic cross Group boards and in developing the business partner model and commercial plans.
- Ensuring the team is a centre of excellence for all OJEU, commercial activity and contract management through delivery of best practice.
You'll already have broad procurement and commercial experience and experience of working within a business partner supporting type role. You'll be able to demonstrate your ability of delivering major procurement projects and of managing a departmental commercial programme. You must be able to travel to London on a weekly basis.
