£38,250 to £45,000 (Norwich)

We're looking for an exceptional Procurement Manager to support the Group Procurement and Commercial Management Team in the delivery of its commercial activities. Working directly with the Procurement Services Lead you'll be proactive in identifying and developing ways in which the team can deliver further commercial value to the Group. This role can be based in either London or Norwich.

You'll be required to support your customer in identifying suitable routes to market and lead the agreed procurement strategy and projects. We'll look to you to regularly communicate progress, issues and risks, and create compliant and commercially sound procurement documentation, ensuring that the projects deliver measurable value for your customers.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Coaching junior team members to foster a depth of experience in the team.
  • Carrying out appraisals to develop management capacity and capability, determine information needs of stakeholders and develop ways to meet identified knowledge gaps in the department's procurement expertise.

You'll already have demonstrable experience of delivering contracts for the provision of goods and services and an extensive knowledge of EU procurement regulations, PCR2015 and extant CO policy. You'll need strong data analysis and reporting skills.

A qualification such as CIPS (or equivalent) would be beneficial. You must be able to travel to London on a weekly basis.

We're seeking applicants with outstanding stakeholder management, engagement and influencing skills. So, if you have a strong understanding of contractor operational needs & pressures and the ability to motivate a team to drive value for money projects, we look forward to hearing from you.
