Sustain (UK) Ltd is a Registered Social Landlord based that has grown rapidly since it was set up in 2009. The business now has a bed capacity of some 2,500 spread across Birmingham and the wider area. With a turnover in excess of £23 million pa and a growth rate of some 20%pa, the business is looking to appoint a number of significant positions within the organisation based in Harborne, Birmingham:
As part of it’s growth the board was expanded at the start of 2016 to a compliment of 9 and a new Non-Executive Chair was appointed. Sustain has been working with the Regulator over the past 3 years to transition from a small entrepreneurial business to a fully functioning not-for-profit RSL. The board has now identified that it would be a good opportunity to split the current role of Finance Director & Company Secretary and appoint its first stand-alone Company Secretary on a part-time basis. The role will report to the CEO and other executive board members, together with a “dotted line” of responsibility to the Chair working on governance issues.
The role will include all board and committee meeting attendance, compiling and co-ordinating papers from a prepared agenda, taking minutes and distribution within a tight time scale. It will also oversee and co-ordinate all governance issues together with all regulatory and legal issues that arise in the course of Sustain’s business.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified company secretary, probably from a legal background to compliment the current skill set of the senior management team and board. Sector knowledge would be a very useful tool in this position.
The role will be based in Harborne, Birmingham and will be part-time. Flexibilty is a key issue as the role will be project driven.
If you would like to be considered for any of these roles then please provide a detailed CV and a note of your current and recent remuneration packages to:
The CEO, Sustain (UK) Ltd, 2a Albert Road, Harborne, Birmingham B17 2AN or via email to: email@example.com clearly quoting the relevant reference number for each role.
The closing date for applications for all roles is Monday 18th March, 2019
