This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi discipline Housing Team and help to shape the future of housing services in Eden. The role includes leading the service to fulfill the Council’s strategic ambitions in relation to homelessness, provision of new homes, grants and enforcement. You will be responsible for developing and implementing key policies and strategies and monitoring effective outcomes. You will have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the relevant legislation and a wide range of public and private sector housing issues. You will be able to lead, inspire and develop your team to achieve the required outcomes and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with colleagues and Members.

The post is office based and you must be able to travel independently both inside and outside of the District to fulfil the requirements of the role. A relocation package of up to £5125 is available.
