Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Barnet House, Whetstone
Salary: GBP 31,365 per annum
Term: 12 Month Contract

The Barnet Group is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant who is studying towards ACCA / ACA / CIMA / AAT qualification, with experience using in financial systems and a good command of excel. The role will report into the Senior Group Accountant and will also work closely with various teams in the organisation.

This post plays a key role in the successful delivery of all finance functions across the group entities. At the same time exposes the individual to all the various elements in accounting.

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and committed individual who is highly motivated, able to work as part of a team, on their own, using their own initiative.
Ideally you will have experience in working in a finance or accounting team, have a "can-do" attitude in meeting expectations.

You must have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to learn and perform new tasks quickly and efficiently.

You will be responsible for:

*The accurate and timely submissions of Construction Industry Tax (CIS) returns.
*Assist in the preparations of monthly management accounts
*Assist in the preparations of monthly capital expenditure reports
*Posting month end journals, accruals and prepayments
*Managing and ensure supplier set-up procedures are adhered to and kept fit for purpose
*Assist in all month end reconciliations
*Monitor and assist in managing all the group Service Level Agreements
*Manage and ensure non-occupancy costs such as council tax are accurate and paid in a timely manner
*To work flexibly within the scope of this post to fulfil the business objectives contained in the Barnet Group Business Plan.

Currently our main offices are located at Barnet House, Whetstone N20. We will be moving to new modern offices at Colindale NW9 in Summer 2019.
