Job Details

Riverside is looking to deliver a multi-million pound investment programme to transform the homes and lives of some 465 households across six social housing estates in London. We are looking for a confident, self-motivated and suitably skilled communications professional to lead and deliver a sustained and effective communications programme to ensure our customers and stakeholders are informed, engaged, reassured and supported throughout this ambitious high profile project. This is a fixed term contract, set initially at two years, based in London requiring agile working across multiple sites.

Whilst the role is formally based at our regional hub in Dartford, you will be required to travel regularly to South and Central London and work in an agile manner (with occasion travel outside of London).

What will you do?

As Senior Communications Officer you will  work with our London and central Marketing and Communications teams to develop and deliver a strategic plan to engage with customers and stakeholders for each of the six estates. Key objectives will be securing their involvement in shaping the proposals themselves, winning a clear mandate of support through a ballot process and supporting the work of our teams and contractor partners as the works get underway.

Day to day

Your key responsibilities as Riverside’s Senior Communications Officer will include:

  • Shaping and production of communications materials, making full use of both online, offline and face to face communications channels
  • Monitoring and accounting for results and providing key advice to the project team on all aspects of stakeholder engagement
  • Reporting to the Tenant Engagement Manager and working closely with the Marketing team at our Liverpool head office, you will also act as internal communications lead for the London programme, ensuring colleagues across Riverside are well informed about redevelopment proposals

Does this describe you?

You will have excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to produce written and other content suitable to a diverse range of target groups in both a proactive and reactive manner to ensure communications are dealt with in a timely manner. You will be able to engage stakeholders successfully, be comfortable working independently and with changing priorities

What's in it for you?

  • 25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
  • A 35 hour working week with eligibility for flexi-time working
  • Opt-in to our auto-enrolment pension scheme (employee rate 1% and employer rate 4%) or our enhanced pension scheme (employee rate 6% and employer rate 9%)
  • Riverside Rewards scheme and app, providing valuable access to voluntary discounted benefits including high street and online savings
  • Access to ongoing personal career development opportunities through Learning Zone
