Permanent, 35 hours per week full-time. Part-time hours can be negotiated if more than one cleaner is recruited. £9 per hour.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic cleaner/general assistant, with great attention to detail, to help us keep Beechwood Grove, our brand new independent living scheme in Caversham for the over 55s, maintained to a high standard.

You'll be responsible for:

Ensuring that the communal and staff areas of Beechwood Grove are cleaned to a high standardReporting repairs and maintenance issuesMaintaining Health and Safety requirements at all timesProviding general support to residents on an ad-hoc/emergency basis.

To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:

Cleaning experience in a commercial/care home/hospital environment - but full training can be providedA flexible, can-do approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamAn understanding of COSHH regulations and Health and Safety requirementsA customer focus with an empathy for the needs of an older client group.
