Job Details

Reporting to the Financial Controller (Reporting), this full time, permanent role, requires a qualified Accountant to work with the Reporting Team to provide statutory financial reporting and management accounting services to the Group and its subsidiaries. This will include preparation of financial statements and associated regulatory returns, oversight of the accounting for the Group’s assets and liabilities and various ad hoc matters.

We are looking for someone who is a real all-rounder, with the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously and manage these timely and efficiently, alongside monthly reporting duties. You will work with a number of different teams across finance and Radian as a whole, so a personable approach and the ability to build good working relationships will be key. You will need to be equally comfortable working on your own and as part of the team.

The successful applicant will need to be post qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant subsequent experience, or qualified by experience, with a working knowledge of FRS102. The role focusses heavily on our accounting system, Open Accounts. Knowledge of this particular system is not essential, but experience operating on similar systems (Sage, SAP etc) is required, as is a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package. Experience within the housing sector (and therefore knowledge of the Housing SORP and Accounting Direction), or similar commercial roles, would also be preferable, although not essential.

Why Radian?

At Radian we are committed to investing in local communities to make them stronger whilst helping to provide homes to those that really need them. We also recognise the importance of continuing to develop our products and services to meet the changing needs of our customers, and have recently launched an ambitious five year Corporate Strategy that will help us continue building on our successes and to achieve our full potential as a leading provider of affordable homes across the south.

We are looking to recruit people who share our passion in making a difference to the lives of our customers and our local communities. In return we will invest in you to help develop your career in a great environment that offers flexibility, collaboration and excellent rewards and benefits.
