The post

We are currently looking for a Research & Public Policy Officer on a 12 months Fixed term contract to inform Peabody’s strategic decision making and support us to lead and influence relevant local and national policy debates.

As part of the Research & Public policy team, your work will be fundamental in enabling us to position Peabody at the forefront of housing policy. Your role will therefore be key to shaping how we operate and ensuring that the organisation and our residents have a key voice in housing-related policy debates.

Reporting to the Research & Public Policy Manager, and working alongside two other officers, you will be responsible for a broad range of research and public-policy projects from inception through to delivery. This includes delivering our strategic research programme, which will involve scoping, designing, analysing and reporting on key research outputs to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, you will provide Peabody employees with a range of invaluable policy materials. These will support departments and leaders across the organisation to effectively assess and mitigate the impact of any emerging housing-related policy changes, challenges and opportunities.

The person

We are looking for someone who can bring strong quantitative and qualitative research experience, including the ability to apply a range of statistical tools to research projects. Your skills will support the team to develop a robust evidence base to inform how Peabody should make meaningful improvements to our operational and external influencing activity.

You will also have excellent project management skills, a strong interest in housing policy issues, and will be able to communicate and build positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity and we want to hear from people who are passionate about using research to enable meaningful and positive change in the housing sector.
