Aftercare Coordinator

Permanent

Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary £25,200 to £39,450 per annum

Handing James the keys to his first apartment.   That’s when it hits home.

We have a brilliant opportunity for you to join us as Aftercare Coordinator where you’ll be ensuring a smooth and seamless aftercare service for all our customers following the purchase of their new home. This is a super exciting time to join us in our strategic priority to build (and sell!) 10,000 new homes over the next five years.

You’ll be using your eye for detail to follow up on any defects orders reported by our Delivery and Sales teams or customers.  You’ll be checking on progress to ensure satisfactory completion of defects and snags with contracting partners, monitor performance and updating relevant systems. You’ll be supporting the team as sites approach completion to ensure smooth handover to our customers and contributing to positive satisfaction ratings for all our new homes.

You’ll be reporting to Cheryl our Aftercare Manager, working alongside Joanne who heads up the team and Aisha and Nabeel who are all recent newcomers to Home Group.  They are currently shaping new processes to support our customers following the purchase of their new home.  The team love a good cuppa and catch up (especially when it’s not their turn to make the round!) and you’ll find them discussing the future of Aftercare and new software they’re getting very soon to make everything even more efficient!  If you have a passion for customer service and in shaping our customer journey we really want to hear from you.

If you want to do awesome things as part of a brilliant team… join us at Home Group!  You’ll find plenty more about the role in our job description. See one of our Development colleagues talk about their role in our short film and find out more about team on our website at www.homegroup.org.uk/development-team.

It’s a really exciting time to join Home Group!  We are currently undergoing a significant period of growth and change that will enable us to build more homes, independence and aspirations – the vision that underpins our five-year strategy. Our ambition to build 10,000 new homes, be market leaders in New Models of Care and significantly increase our digital capability is in the hands of our brilliant people.

A bit about you

With a creative spark, you’ll have a strong administrative background (preferably in housing, sales or a development environment) as well as a passion to provide the highest standard of customer service at all times. You’ll really impress us with your ability to organise and prioritise multiple projects and influence stakeholders to drive performance.  If you have some previous experience in the management, sale or construction of high quality new homes this would be the cherry on the cake (or should we say the sold sign on the door).

A bit about us

We are Home Group, one of the UK’s largest developers of new homes and providers of houses for affordable rent.  We also provide long term integrated housing, health and social care housing.  We are proud of the difference that we have made over the last 80 years and we continue to work hard to support 120,000 customers in 55,000 homes across the UK.  With a turnover of £350m and more than 3000 colleagues, you will be joining a robust, dynamic and inclusive organisation with a strong social mission at its heart.

We’re also a strategic partner of Homes England, working together to disrupt the way we do things across UK housing to build the affordable homes our country needs.

What’s on offer?

There’s lots!  Including: competitive salaries, performance related pay, a contributory occupational money-purchase pension scheme with life assurance and long term disability insurance, 25 days paid holiday a year rising by 1 day per year up to 30 days, with the ability to purchase an extra 5 days, salary sacrifice schemes including cycle, car and technology, heavily discounted AA membership, gyms and savings on high street stores, holidays and restaurants amongst many others.

The job for you?
