Hostel to Home Officer
This is an exciting time to join the Housing Options service and there is nothing more important than having your own home. If you want to assist people into a successful living environment and be part of their journey then this post could be for you.
The Homelessness Reduction Act has provided an opportunities to build on the excellent results already seen around prevention and we are looking for a self motivated and knowledgeable individual to provide an intensive pre-tenancy service to promote sustainable tenancies.
This is a new post where the successful candidate will be based at the family hostel, taking ownership of the daily management alongside working intensively with those in all forms of temporary accommodation through to settling them into a new home.
This postholder will also be responsible for arranging and delivery a variety of workshops for applicants on the housing register, ensuring they are prepared for the responsibilities of a tenancy. You will have proven experience in housing across different tenures, welfare benefits and reforms as well as being a personable and skilled presenter.
