Head of Estates

We’re looking for a customer-focused individual with energy, experience and a strong sense of purpose to join us as a Head of Estates.

The UK has a housing problem. This affects every one of us, because housing is the foundation of the society we live in. Catalyst is part of the solution. You could be too.

One of the UK’s leading housing associations, Catalyst is here to make a purposeful difference by providing housing solutions for those who can’t afford a home without our help. We offer a wide range of homes, for rent, part ownership or purchase. By doing so, we build more than homes – we build communities. Put simply, we’re committed to our social purpose - in every part of our organisation. And, we always seek to do better. If you do too, read on.

As Head of Estates you must have experience of leading a team to understand that they are responsible for the environment our customers live in every day, so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs to the best of their ability. You will motivate and energise the team to deliver the cleanest, safest and most well-presented estates that we can. You will develop and grow objective measures for the performance of your team and be able to track improvements locally and generically as well as compare with others inside and outside the sector.

With bags of positive energy, you will lead your team from the front and have a confident and inclusive leadership style that allows you to manage the service with transparency and clarity for customers, teams and colleagues. You will understand the commerciality in the service you provide to customers and be able to account for the value for money of your service.  Experience of delivering projects within budgets is essential.

You will recognise the importance of affordable housing and demonstrate a commitment to the Catalyst Purpose and Vision. The area under management is large and not always accessible by public transport and therefore being able to drive is an important skill for this role

We’re a Sunday Times top 100 Best Company to Work for. We invest a lot of time and resources in our people because we know it’s our people who will drive our success. If you’d like to join us, and help make a real difference, please get in touch.

The role is subject to a basic check.

Please note completed pre-employment forms must be included in order for your application to be processed.

Closing date: 27th March 2019.
