Your role will cover the UK South West region with some additional travel to London, East and South East regions for the first 6 months.

This is a fabulous opportunity for you to join us in our exciting role of Contract Manager where you’ll work collaboratively with the Lead Contract Manager and our major national contractors. You’ll ensure all contractual commitments are met and proactively identify and implement solutions in a timely manner. You’ll cover from Home Group’s South West region which extends from Reading to Cornwall with the majority of our stock located within 50 miles from the M25. There will be some additional travel required for the first 6 months to London, East and the South East regions to support some of our inflight projects.

You’ll be working alongside our brilliant Lead Contract Manager, Simon and the team reports into our regional[DEL: :DEL] Head of Maintenance. We are committed to completing our digital journey within the next 5 years which will see us working really effectively with workforce management, our repair requests being completed by self-serve 80% of the time and seeing a real reduction in reactive maintenance through better planning. We’re looking for someone who can develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors and colleagues in your region to manage opportunities that are commercially beneficial and achieve customer satisfaction. You’ll be covering from Reading to Cornwall but whilst it’s a big patch you’ll be up for the challenge this will bring.
We’ll need you to have brilliant experience in a commercially challenging maintenance environment (ideally within the housing sector), extensive commercial negotiation and a contract management background. You’ll have an impressive knowledge of construction, maintenance and housing issues, including housing legislation and statutory compliance. On top of this, you’ll hold Chartered Membership of relevant professional body such as CIOB, RICS or equivalent, be a collaborative person who can deliver great win-win outcomes for Home Group, our customers and contractors.
