We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Lead Web Developer. You’ll lead our fantastic developers by creating technical solutions and development strategies to deliver our Digital Product Roadmap. We’d love you to bring your extensive experience and drive continuous improvement within our Digital Development processes. Finally you’ll also be an active developer within our agile teams, taking ownership in developing and maintaining our clean and quality code base!

About our team

You’ll work alongside our fabulous team who are passionate about building and delivering innovative digital solutions using the latest technologies. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager is Taya, who has a passion for the gym, food and travel and ran the hottest ever recorded London Marathon last year.  There are 9 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! Our Digital Development team is currently made up of developers, DevOps, UX and a Scrum Master. We work closely with our testers and product owners to form our Scrum teams.

A bit about you

As our Lead Developer, you’ll be an expert in various development languages, able to create development strategies and deliver best practise, futureproofed and quality solutions using the latest technologies including React and Node.

You’re a natural leader and great communicator, able to lead and manage our fantastic developers, using your agile knowledge and experience within the team, there will be lots of variety for you to get your teeth into!  

You’ve also got a customer focused approach, recognising the department’s role as a service provider to the business, making sure that we deliver a high quality service at all times.

Working hours

Here at Home Group we believe flexibility works both ways. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours! It’s important to us that you’re in the office so we can work collaboratively and share best practices amongst the team. However there will be times, when you might work from home to concentrate on a particular piece of work. Throughout it’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off.
