The role
Orbit is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior PR Officer to join their expanding Marketing and Communications team in Coventry. This exciting role is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable and well organised PR professional to join a commercially driven organisation with a strong social purpose at the forefront of a rapidly changing sector.

As the Senior PR Officer you will be part of a team of 6 communication professionals and work closely alongside the organisation's digital, design and marketing teams. You will deliver on a group wide PR strategy and help enhance Orbit's brand, reputation and vision through external media, awards and events. You will be working with a range of channels and different types of media and you will also have input into new strategies to ensure Orbit embrace innovation and new ideas.

This role is suited to someone who can effectively demonstrate excellent organisation skills and has a good understanding of building media relations across housing, property or construction.

Orbit is currently embarked upon a significant programme of homebuilding and this role will be responsible for ensuring that our developments receive positive press coverage that helps to grow the Orbit Homes brand across key geographies.


About you
It is essential that you have extensive experience working in a PR background and preferably within the housing, property or construction sectors.

You will be expected to create quality content for multiple channels across a range of different audience groups and form working relationships with members of national, local and trade press.

You'll need to be able to think creatively and inventively in order to help produce engaging and fresh content and have a good instinct for a story.
