Salary

The spot salary for this post is £47,997 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

Car Allowance

£1,250 per annum paid monthly (subject to TAX and NI deductions, non-pensionable)

           

The Role and Person

Accent Group are embarking on an ambitious strategic plan for growth through the development of new affordable homes for rent, shared ownership and open market sale. You will be part of a dynamic and productive team who perform to the highest standard. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career.

As Development Programme Manager, you will be the principal point of contact with the Homes England in each operating area. You will work closely with the Head of Development for Delivery to prepare and develop effective programme management systems to monitor and report on the progress of the Consortium and Partner development programme.

You will be responsible for agreeing start of year Consortium targets whilst monitoring the progress of the consortium programme against the Homes England targets.

You will be used to managing large-scale projects and therefore be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Project Management approaches and methodologies.

Excellent influencing and negotiating skills will be essential; you will be working with Consortium Chief Executives, Community Groups and other stakeholders, including local authority members. Therefore, an understanding of central and local Government policy related to housing and implications to Housing Associations is essential.

You will need to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; report writing and presenting are an important expectation of this role.

You show empathy for others, and be able to develop effective working relationships with all members of the Development and Growth team, as well as other internal agencies.

Working closely with Finance and procurement you will be proficient in the management of budgets and cost control.

As a Development Programme Manager, you will exhibit clear leadership, inspiration and direction across the Development team to ensure that the team functions well and works together to achieve clearly defined objectives in an effective and efficient fashion.

You will promote good staff relations ensuring that the principals of the Accent on Management charter is delivered consistently and effectively.

It is essential that you have knowledge of the development, planning, legal, construction processes, and an excellent understanding of the housing market.

You will have the ability to work well under pressure and be a lively and collaborative member of a team.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
