Onward Homes is one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region.
Our in-house repairs team aims to deliver a high quality service that is convenient for our customers and keeps our homes safe and in excellent condition. We complete day to day repairs to customers’ homes and also empty properties to bring them up to the required Onward standard. We also service and repair gas boilers throughout the Lancashire region.

We are looking for a Voids and Adaptations Team Leader (1 post) to join our Repairs team in Lancashire.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensuring that Onward Repairs delivers a safe, quality, efficient, responsive repairs and void maintenance service.
You will carry out Void, Day to Day, work in progress and post inspections to ensure quality repairs are carried out.
Supervising and organising the Voids & Adaptations Team and supply chain you will deliver the work required and carry out Pre termination and Void inspections.
You will ensure that key operational and financial targets are achieved in line with the aims of the business.
Directly managing productivity and IT systems you will ensure the effective use of all resources and undertake effective quality control and quality assurance on the work carried out, utilising work in progress and post inspections.
You will ensure safe methods of working are adopted and the Voids & Adaptations Teams are suitably qualified and trained to deliver the work required.
You will implement new streams of business or operational areas to ensure maximum value for money for Onward Homes.
Providing line management and leadership to the team you will manage resources to ensure that objectives are achieved, ensuring collaborative working to deliver required service levels across the region.
You will have a proven ability to supervise and manage Responsive repairs and Void operatives to deliver a quality customer centred repairs service and experience of the management of a similar construction trade based maintenance business.
You will have a relevant Health and Safety qualification and/ or experience with a City and Guilds craft certificate within a trade discipline or equivalent. You will also hold and appropriate CSCS card.
