The Housing Service at Runnymede Council is currently undergoing significant change.  As part of this agenda a new position of Development Manager has been created.  This new role will be responsible for taking forward the direct provision of new Council homes, but also expanding the overall Affordable Homes Programme through a range of partnership initiatives and development partners.

The ideal candidate for the role will bring commitment, enthusiasm, knowledge and practical experience across the affordable housing, and development Agenda.

To be successful in this role you will have full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIOH or RICS), be an experienced project manager with an extensive and successful record of delivering affordable homes programmes and previous experience of partnership working. You will also have high-level project management and excellent negotiation skills, as well as the ability to critique and modify financial appraisals, manage costs, quality, timescales and risk.

Clear understanding of section 106 challenges and appraisal process, knowledge of HRA and external funding options, excellent verbal and report writing skills are also key to this role.
