We have a brilliant opportunity for an Assistant Portfolio Project Manager (know internally to us as Assistant Propco Portfolio Manager) to support us in delivering our commercial property service for our supported accommodation portfolio.  You’ll be acquiring, designing and building high quality new accommodation and converting existing properties to meet the specialist needs of our customers. Working closely with our New Models of Care team you’ll provide better properties, better services and long term solutions.

You’ll provide advice on property options for both purchase and conversion, advice on layouts, specification requirements, and ensuring our properties meet the requirements of our New Models of Care team and customers. Really exciting opportunities to be involved in our modular construction offer, and looking at new ways of making sure we deliver our targets for new properties.

Our Propco family are expanding so you’ll report to our new Propco Portfolio Manager and you'll work for John, our Head of Propco Portfolio.  As a Strategic Partner to Homes England, we have an ambitious target to buy and create lots of new properties – and interesting time with plenty of opportunity to make this role your own and build your career with us.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across our Development, Maintenance and Compliance teams, providing advice on new properties and making sure we have all the documentation in place for a smooth handover.  If delivering quality homes is your passion too, then you’ll really fit in here.

A bit about you

You’ll be working towards professional membership of RICS, with a relevant degree or equivalent. You’ll have previous experience in undertaking asset investment option appraisals, making recommendations and delivering investment plans. You’ll really impress us with your knowledge of stock condition processes and commercial understanding of asset investment, financial and business planning.

You’ll also have strong partnership and relationship management skills, a customer focused approach and have excellent influencing, negotiating and presentation skills.  You'll ideally have a general practice or building surveying background.

This role will involve regular national travel and you therefore you will have a current driving licence and access to a car for work.
