Job Details

We’re looking for a customer-focused individual with proven experience of running and delivering a housing service to join us as a Neighbourhood Operations Manager

The UK has a housing problem. This affects every one of us, because housing is the foundation of the society we live in. Catalyst is part of the solution. You could be too.

One of the UK’s leading housing associations, Catalyst is here to make a purposeful difference by providing housing solutions for those who can’t afford a home without our help. We offer a wide range of homes, for rent, part ownership or purchase. By doing so, we build more than homes – we build communities. Put simply, we’re committed to our social purpose - in every part of our organisation. And, we always seek to do better. If you do too, read on.

We’re totally committed to delivering excellent customer experience – being easy, reliable and empathetic in the way we deal with customers, and each other.

Accountable to our customer panels, you’ll be part of a team of three who deputise for one another and the Head of Service. It’s a challenging role that’s crucial to the delivery of our customer experience strategy, as well as key aspects of core landlord service functions for around 6,000 homes. Not only will you oversee all service delivery within your housing operational hub, including direct and indirect service areas under your control, you’ll lead on the strategy behind that delivery too. And, when it comes to providing leadership, direction, support and vision to the Neighbourhood Experience Manager team, again, we'll rely on you. Put simply, you’ll be critical to our success in delivering customer service excellence across our communities, estates and neighbourhoods.

To succeed, you’ll need proven experience of running and delivering a housing service that resulted in tangible outcomes for the business and a diverse range of customers. You’ll also need a customer-centric mindset that’s created service improvements due to your leadership and management. Adept at coaching and getting the best out of people, your fluid and flexible leadership style enables you to accommodate changing organisational requirements too. What's more, you have a considered, intelligent approach to leading and implementing change and the communication skills it takes to influence at all levels and build sustainable commercial and social partnerships.

One of the Sunday Times top 100 Best Companies to Work for, we strive to be a great employer by investing a lot of time and resources in our people. After all, its people that drive our success, deliver outstanding customer service and ensure we remain a high-performance business. If you’d like to join us, and help make a real difference, please get in touch.

The role is subject to an enhanced check.

Please note completed pre-employment forms must be included in order for your application to be processed.

Closing date: 19th May 2019.
