Project Worker - Level 2
Sudbury - Suffolk
Full Time, 39 hours a week

Notting Hill Genesis are actively recruiting for an experienced Project Worker to work across two of their supported housing schemes located in Sudbury.

Notting Hill Genesis is one of the largest providers of housing related support to single homeless people within Suffolk. We have recently undergone an ambitious change programme within several of our schemes across the county. The aim of the new services is to ensure our customers achieve their goals and aspirations through the support, encouragement and guidance of our staff.

This is an exciting time to join Notting Hill Genesis as we are recruiting to several jobs in the Suffolk area. Located in Sudbury the Project Worker will be responsible for delivering person-centred services. The scheme is an accommodation based environment that supports homeless young people between the ages of 16-21 who may have experienced drug, alcohol, substance misuse problems, and/or have varying support needs.

The primary focus of our schemes is to support clients in a range of areas, including finding employment, recovery from addiction, and building stability through a range of social activities. A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to more suitable long-term accommodation, appropriate to their needs.

This is a Level 2 position so previous experience in working in young people's services would be suitable for this role as you will be supporting young people that can display challenging behaviour and you are needed to go in and hit the ground running.

Housing and Benefits experience is preferable.

You may be required to lone work and you will need to use your own initiative so we need a strong willed and confident individual. We want to find motivational individual's that have a genuine interest working with vulnerable young people and delivering a person-centred service.

Hours will be 39 hours a week, over a rota basis. You will be required to work some weekends so will need to have a flexible approach to working hours.

Please see the Role Profile for further details. You can request this from our Recruitment Partner - Retinue Solutions.

We fully endorse career development and have a great reputation for rewarding our staff. Benefits include 26 days annual leave the possibility of flexible working, significant opportunities for learning and development and the opportunity to make a difference to how Genesis evolves in the coming years.

For further information or an informal conversation regarding the role please contact Laura Maxey on 0203 837 7880 or email

You will need to supply your CV and a Supporting Statement in order to apply. Your Supporting Statement must cover the requirements in the Role Profile (detailing your suitability for the role). This can be found on the Notting Hill Genesis website or you can request a copy to complete your application.
