We are bpha. Amongst the other amazing things we do, we are a dynamic and ambitious Housing Association based in Bedford, operating throughout the Oxford to Cambridge growth arc. We have in excess of 18,500 homes and employ over 400 staff.

We have recently created a new Rent and Service Charge Team.  The critical work this team is undertaking will positively impact our customers and services and includes all elements of rent and service charges.

The strategic lead for the team, you will be a housing professional with direct experience of rent and service charges and lease management.  A proven leader, you will be the driver for shaping this new function and developing team members.  Although reporting into the Head of Finance you will also work closely with the Director of Customer and Services.

You will develop systems to ensure our customers receive a value for money service.  You will be responsible for annual rent and service charge setting, review and reconciliation processes as well as the organisational lead in residential lease management ensuring income is maximised.

You will agree and deliver a change programme in how we work as a business, challenging our current processes and ways of working.

You will have excellent people management skills as well as influencing and interpersonal skills.  You will be a forward thinker who thrives in an environment of change and who likes to inform and develop new systems of working.

You will be educated to degree level and hold an accounting qualification or have appropriate professional experience including leading a rent/service charge team.
