The Role

Our Environmental Services team works with residents to deliver great housing services to make Lewisham safer, cleaner and greener. We currently have a number of vacancies available, including permanent and temporary fixed term roles, we ask you to specify which role interests you as part of the application. As an Environment Team Supervisor, you will lead a team of up to 12 caretakers in ensuring our estates are great places to live.  You’ll maintain excellent cleaning standards – both inside and outside our blocks. You’ll also lead the team in delivering brilliant customer service every day.  

Key responsibilities include:

• Allocating, directing and monitoring staff to ensure high standards
• Ensuring staff receive appropriate support and training
• Working collaboratively and sharing information across housing services
• Assisting in the development, provision and implementation of new services

You have a good understanding of caretaking, cleaning or refuse removal as well as be committed to delivering a reputation-enhancing service to customers. You will spend most of your time on site, engaging with staff and customers working in any of the areas we manage, across Lewisham borough. You must be able to travel efficiently from site to site.
