Building homes. Developing futures.

Are you a commercially focused Land Manager looking to make a difference with a new and exciting challenge?

We are growing our Land and Planning Division across the UK to become one of the country's top 5 builders in the next 3 years, and are offering an exciting opportunity in our Manchester office for a Strategic Land Manager looking to make their mark.

As Strategic and Manager you'll be required to identify strategic land (land likely to require promotion in excess of 2 years) opportunities, and assess from a risk and opportunity point of view all legal, technical, planning, sales, and cost aspects of the land opportunity. You'll need to manage the process of contractually securing new land opportunities; following acceptance of an offer, agree heads of terms, obtain the requisite Board approvals and instruct solicitors. Thereafter, manage the solicitors so that the site is contractually secure within an agreed program. This process will also include securing the affordable housing and planning agreements.

We are looking for someone who has a demonstrable understanding of the development process for residentially lead schemes, with a solid understanding the technical, planning, sales, financial and legal aspects of assessing and securing residentially lead developments.

For this level of role, you will need previous experience of effective negotiation, developing effective strategies, and experience of optimising and value engineering schemes. You will also need the proven ability to build a strong network of connections with land owners, land agents, developers, and other strategic partners to ensure there is a sufficient flow of land opportunities.

If this sounds like the role for you, we look forward to hearing from you.
