Delivering brilliant Customer Service collaboratively. That’s when it hits home.

It’s a really exciting time to join Home Group.  We are currently undergoing a significant period of growth and change that will enable us to build more homes, independence and aspirations – the vision that underpins our five-year strategy. Our ambition to be market leaders in New Models of Care, build 10,000 new homes and significantly increase our digital capability is in the hands of our brilliant people like you.  We’re delivering a new end to end customer experience to support an enhanced customer offer and digital ways of working. We’re also on a journey to bring in Workforce Management practices and systems so that our front line roles will operate dynamic scheduling to support brilliant new ways of working.

And did we mention that we rank No. 7 in the UK’s Best Large Places to Work due to our fantastic culture?!

This is a brilliant opportunity for you to join us in our exciting role of Business Support Team Manager in our Leeds office. You’ll take day to day responsibility for the management and support of a team of Administrators to maintain performance that delivers against our targets.

As well as supporting with all the routine admin tasks associated with a busy office our “Centre of Excellence” here looks after all of the purchase orders, and income and expenditure for the business (lovingly referred to as Oracle), you’ll be providing a business support service to our colleagues and customers across Home Group.  We work collaboratively to deliver in-depth support, and work as a dedicated team to see the job through from end to end.

About our team

You’ll be working alongside Sue, who is our brilliant Business Support Operations Manager.  Sue has been with us for 18 years and she thrives on a challenge.  She has a sense of pride in the work that our Business Support teams deliver and is always looking for ways to improve.  She is passionate about our values and how we deliver these. She has a great sense of humour and an eye for detail and outside of work she loves to travel where she pursues her favourite hobby of watching the world & the people in it go by.

Working with Sue is Mandy, our other amazing Operations Manager, and seven fab Team Managers. We are a fun loving and sociable bunch, we help each other out and (if we do say so ourselves) we’ve all got fantastic can-do attitudes!  In the last 12 months we’ve made a big impact in the organisation through the introduction of a centralised Business Support function and we’ve put ourselves “on the map” through development of a function we’re all proud of and the ideal person we are looking for will play a pivotal part in this going forward.

About you

You’ll ensure that your teams performance is aligned to standard operating procedures and be a proactive and effective manager, supporting your colleagues in line with policies and procedures.

You have a proven track record in delivering services through people whilst adhering to standard operating procedures.  You’ll have the ability to manage resources, creating the required capacity and capability to meet workload/ team demands. You’ll have the ability to motivate, coach and support a group of administrators ensuring delivery success to specified targets. You can effectively analyse and report on team performance, spotting opportunities for improvement and highlighting risks and issues at the earliest possible opportunity. You’ll have experience of using database management systems (we use ORACLE iProcurement to raise requisitions for goods and services) and also for introducing streamlined processes.

So if you want to do great things in a brilliant operational team and work for an organisation that really makes a difference… join us at Home Group!

Working flexibly

It’s the team’s unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or life’s essential appointments. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!
