The Care and Support Directorate has a portfolio of over 2,500 homes, 190 staff and specialises in the provision of - retirement housing including extra care, a range of supported housing services to meet the needs of vulnerable young people, young parents, homeless, domestic abuse, and much more.

The role

Do you have experience of delivering fundraising strategies and securing medium and large grants? Are you a proven bid writer with a background in tendering for services?

If so, I have the perfect role for you!

We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager, you will manage our Care and Support's tender and fundraising processes to retain and develop services and meet our strategic ambitions for growth.

This role is focused on co-ordinating tenders, fundraising and developing services. You will have a cross-departmental focus with links to the Partnership and Fundraising Manager in Housing Services.

As a team member within Business Development you will work closely with the Senior Management Team to drive growth across Operations and Care to support the directorate to achieve our strategic ambitions.

You will be focused on responding to funding opportunities, ensuring relevant staff are involved in the development of bids. You will participate in and adopt IT, organisational and system changes as we undertake our 5 year business transformation programme Fit for Future.

To be successful, you must have proven bid and tender writing skills and experience of project management. Ideally you will come from a social sector background and have experience of partnership development and maintaining successful relationships with funders.
