Hours: 9am - 2pm / Saturday & Sunday

Contract Type: 6 month fixed term contracts/secondments

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed team player with a passion for making a difference in people's lives to join us as a Deputy Scheme Manager (Lunch Time Supervisor) You will be required to work- 9am - 2pm / every Saturday & Sunday. You may be required to work Bank Holiday's for which an enhanced payment will be made to you.

Being a lunch time supervisor you will assist the cook to provide a 2 course lunch for our residents within our Retirement Lunch Schemes.

About the individual

The ideal candidates will have the following experience:

  • Knowledge of sheltered/retirement housing.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable and or elderly people and an excellent understanding of the problems they face.
  • An ability to stay calm under stress and in emergency situations.
  • An understanding of the concept of professional boundaries
  • Experience of Safeguarding Adults.
  • Ability to be self-motivating and to prioritise workload along with good organisational skills.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety and its application
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Good Kitchen management skills.
  • Knowledge and respect for individual cultural and ethnic needs
