Director of Development

Employer
Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association
Location
London (Central), London (Greater)
Salary
Up to £89k per annum
Closing date

Want to build lots of homes - on behalf of your own organisation and partners across London?

Homes you’d gladly call your own, but at rents and prices cheap enough to help keep North and East London the mixed, vibrant, exciting places they are.

In short, do you share our values and passion for people and place-making? If the answer’s yes.

This is the job for you.

At ISHA we are small – just 2,400 homes – but ambitious. We have a housing crisis and we need to build, but it isn’t just a numbers game.

We are ambitious for the places in which we work and the people who live in them – our neighbours. Our partners in the North Rivers Alliance (the nra) are similarly ambitious. We know that the bed rock of life is a safe, secure, affordable home and demand quality.

We currently build 100 homes a year for ourselves – 55% social and London affordable rent and the rest for shared ownership.

And thanks to our existing (and sadly retiring) Development Director who founded the nra some 15 years ago, have developed 3,500 homes with and for our partner housing association.

But there’s more to do.

We need you to innovate, deliver, grow and partner with our fabulous partner boroughs of Islington, Waltham Forest and Hackney and others and the GLA, with residents and customers and businesses, spending ISHA’s pound wisely.

We need you to lead not only your dozen-strong development and marketing team but help lead the next phase of ISHA’s growth and renewal with other leadership team colleagues.

In return we promise you things that money can’t buy: the best job you’ll ever have, some cracking colleagues, fabulous development opportunities, generous holiday and pension – and a wage of up to £89k.

Closing date 8 July 2019

Interviews: At times to be confirmed on the 15th, 16th and 18th July
