We are looking for:
Reporting to the Help to Buy Operations, Procedures & Policy Senior Manager, the role holder will be responsible for overseeing that any changes made to policy are not taken in isolation, ensuring all policies and procedures in relation to Help to Buy are fit for purpose and supporting the lead on any changes that need to be implemented and communicated.

Our successful candidate will:
The role holder’s tasks will include supporting the Senior Manager to:
Oversee the enterprise wide policy, processes and procedures for the Help to Buy team. Ensure all Help to Buy policies and procedure are fit for purpose; at the present time and going forward. Raise any concerns and help to drive through any improvement changes as necessary. Add to policies and processes as required to ensure continuous improvement. Ensure consistency across policy and procedural documentation. Ensuring updates, version control, and changes are communicated to all involved. Coordinating any changes to the programme made by the Heads of Department. Alerting any known risks of changes to Department Heads for wider end to end programme. Preparing and carrying out implementation plans for change. Drafting policy documentation as required. Foreseeing where changes may have a knock on effect and where possible putting in place strategies to circumvent this. Delivering training on behalf of the Senior Manager on new policy to internal and external audiences. Helping to maintain department instruction manuals and working with process owners within the wider Help to Buy team to build department instruction manuals as required.

The skills we would like are:
Essential Qualification:
Educated to at least degree level or have direct equivalent experience.

Essential Knowledge:
Must be able to demonstrate prior gained strong knowledge of the Help to Buy Programme generally and an understanding of how it works. Experience of VISIO and value stream process mapping is also paramount.

Desirable knowledge:
Individuals with a background or previous experience of working with / for Help to Buy agents or previous experience in banking, operational / procedural, policy, or compliance based roles. Any Policy writing experience or experience working with Standard Operating Procedures would also be beneficial.

Transferable skills:
The successful individual must have a high level of attention to detail and be competent at supporting the task of drafting policy efficiently. They will need to demonstrate they are a confident and effective communicator, particularly written communications, are results focused and conscientious to ensure detail is always accurate. They will need to be able to work autonomously, support others and show that they can translate reports from analytics into practical solutions in regards to change and policy.
