Our client provides consultancy services to clients in the Residential Property sector - housing associations, local authorities, ALMOs, developers, and third sector organisations. In response to exceptional demand from their clients they are expanding their property team. They work throughout the UK and beyond, advising boards and senior executives on a range of areas including; human resources, strategy and change, governance, property and treasury and finance related matters.

We are looking for a Senior Property Consultant with an extensive Housing Development background.

They should be able to bring a consultative approach to assignments that can be wide ranging - including leading and managing teams of varied stakeholders, offering technical advice and implementing strategy to resolve development issues. Strong communication and presentation skills are also required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities -

  • Lead on the delivery of housing development projects – from planning, delivery to defect rectification
  • Viability advice & scrutiny
  • Procure and manage consultants, contractors & project stakeholders
  • Bid Support Negotiating Legal & Commercial agreements
  • Technical advice ad hoc or on specific projects – if appropriate
  • Options Appraisals & Feasibility Studies
  • Financial Modelling
  • JV support
  • Research work
  • Manage project budgets and financials
  • Some management of less experienced colleagues
  • Writing reports
  • Submitting client proposals & briefs
  • Presenting to clients

Abilities, Skills & Experience -

  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Working as part of unfamiliar client teams & therefore establishing of relationships
  • Management of own working time and workload around client & project demands
  • Delivery against deadlines
  • 5+ years' experience delivering housing development schemes
  • Intellectually agile, flexible, adaptable and willing to take on a wide variety of challenges
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Excellent presentation skills across a broad range of stakeholders
  • Qualified to degree level preferable

Working Hours & Benefits -

  • Upto £65,000 per annum
  • 35 hours per week office and home working flexibility
  • Up to 6% Pension Contributions
