Building for Brent
The London Borough of Brent doesn’t hold back when it comes to placemaking. We reside in a state-of-the-art Civic Centre in Wembley, next to the iconic Wembley stadium and in one of the fastest developing areas in London. Our redevelopment of South Kilburn estate is an exemplar of how estate regeneration should be delivered. There is however so much more to be done. The social housing crisis has hit us hard and is no longer acceptable. This is why we have set a target to deliver 5000 truly affordable homes in the borough over the next 5 years, 1000 of which will be delivered directly by the Council. We have already secured the budget to fund these, backed by funding from the GLA.
Development Manager - £57,430 to £64,533
Reporting into the Head of Supply and Partnership, we are looking for a Development Manager with good experience of strategic development projects to create new homes in Brent. You will provide a range of technical advice on property and development, including procurements, planning and design.
You will have significant experience of housing development, either through managing direct delivery or the clienting. You will understand how Registered Providers work and what motivates them. Overall, you will be a lateral thinker and a great influencer, with the ability to build and maintain key relationships.
