Havant Housing Association is a supported housing association which currently houses 136 tenants in a variety of supported accommodation in and around the Borough of Havant.   We offer supported accommodation to single people who have a mental health problem, learning disability, physical disability or have a substance misuse issue.

Earlier this year we reviewed our business priorities moving forward and identified the need to refresh our Board with a balance of new skills and experience.   We wish to appoint suitably qualified and experienced candidates who will actively contribute their skills and experience, with an enthusiasm to enhance and grow the services we provide and steer the association onto its next stage of development.

We are looking for people who have the capability to operate effectively at a strategic level and have the time, passion and commitment to make an effective contribution.  We particularly encourage applications from candidates with skills and experience in one or more of the following: finance, audit, risk, business continuity, housing, marketing, social care or tenant engagement.

This may be your first Board role, but you will have an understanding of what good governance looks like and be able to offer insight across a range of business areas, particularly around customer service, accountability to tenants and meeting local need.

Diversity of thought is important around our Board table and we work as a collaborative team who will value your input, challenge and perspective.

If you want to help shape the next phase of our journey and have empathy with our vision and values, we would love to hear from you.  The roles are all voluntary with meetings of the Board held bi-monthly, currently on Thursday evenings in Havant, so ideally candidates will live within easy travelling distance of Havant.

Closing Date for Applications: midday on 24th July 2019
